Summer Days At White Point Resort

Summer is officially here, meaning it’s time for road trips, ice cream for supper, discovering new things and exploring new places!

For the last few years, our family loved jumping in the car and finding amazing new things in our wonderful province. Many people jump on a plane during summer vacation, but we have realized that even though we have covered quite a bit of Nova Scotia, there is always something new to discover!

One thing we discovered that has re-appeared this season is day passes at White Point Resort. Many locals know this has always been available—but the passes have been on pause for the last two years. We frequent the area regularly, but since hubby is from the area, we don’t often need accommodations as we can stay with family, so we’re so happy to see the day passes come back!

So exactly is a Day pass for White Point? What are the costs and inclusions?

Their website states, “ We boast 20 years of welcoming neighbours and locals to enjoy our beach and facilities—without having to spend the night. The White Point Country Club is like a recreation centre, and social club rolled into one! Members enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, recreation programs, and so much more.”

Day Passes

Day passes allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy the magic of White Point! They are available to locals or anyone visiting the area who would like to access the White Point facilities for the day.

The price for day passes is $10+hst for all individuals over the age of 5, with children 5 years of age or younger being free (2 children per paying adult).

Purchase your day pass at the front desk or in the boathouse when it’s open to use the White Point facilities for the entire day.

At the end of May, we were invited to come to check out the facilities and see exactly what a day pass entailed. Sadly it was a rainy day, so we didn’t get the beautiful White Point pictures that you usually see but having a 4.5-year-old, this was the perfect way to pass the time, burn off energy and have a blast on a rainy day!

During our time at White Point, we got to enjoy the indoor pool, the games room, the kid’s zone (including board games, colouring, and face painting), search for the famous White Point Bunnies, and we couldn’t leave without a tasty meal at Elliott’s! Even on a rainy day, we had a blast!

We plan to go back on a sunny day to hit up the playground, the water activities, the beach, the outdoor pool—and of course, search for more bunnies as they were hiding during our last trip!

If you want something fun to do this summer for all ages, jump in the car and hit up White Point for an affordable day trip, there is something for all ages!
